ユリと目薬

ナイロビにて事務用品の買出しに向かった先のお花屋さんに綺麗なユリが飾ってありました。
男ばかりの事務所の雰囲気を変えようと、ユリを飾ることにしました。

事務所に戻って早速、白須代表へお見せしました。
目の充血に長坂さんが気付いており、目薬をプレゼントしました。

飾ってから5日経ち、花が綺麗に咲きました。

A VISIT TO THE JAPANESE EMBASSY, NAIROBI

On Tuesday, 2 pm, the Kenya team delegation paid a courtesy call to the Japanese ambassador, Mr. Toshitsugu Uesawa, at his office. A number of things were discussed.
Dead patients
The ambassador sent out his condolence message to the families, friends and close relatives of patients interviewed who died. On the issue of Patients not accessing medical services, he promised to work out substantive measures between the Kenyan and Japan governments to intervene to help such patients in the near future.

Community Health Volunteers
Mr. Uesawa endorsed the grassroots activities by CHVs within their locality in Kangemi and said he’ll talk to the Japan Government to continue their support by upgrading the social status and in future would consider having some of them join the TB program after fulfilling the recommended apparatus are met within the community.
Bicycles
After achieving this year's project objectives, later in the year, they might buy 100 bicycles for the recently trained CHVs after a constructive conversation with the Japan Government.
