SHORTAGE OF BCG VACCINES IN MAJOR COUNTIES MAY PREDISPOSE CHILDREN TO TB.

JJ.jpg
Majority of counties in Kenya are experiencing shortages of BCG vaccine which prevents children against Tuberculosis disease.

Hospitals in Kisumu, Nakuru, Homabay, Samburu and Siaya Counties are experiencing serious shortages of BCG Vaccine since they have not been supplied by the National Government since June 2018 due to payment rows with KEMSA.

Public Health officers from these counties have echoed the concern but have been promised to be delivered in due course from the Nairobi Depot.

The good news is that coverage of BCG vaccination is above 90 percent as per County Public health officers in charge of vaccination.

The national government has issued a directive to furnish the counties with the supplies as it sorts the payment issues with the management of KEMSA.

KEMSAとの問題は、以前のブログでもとりあげられていましたが、完全に解決するのはなかなか難しいということでしょうか、
