The government plans to roll out the National Integrated Identity Management System in the country, for mass digital registration starting March this year.

The system will create, manage and operate a national population register as a single source of personal information for all Kenyan citizens and Foreigners in the country.

This will be critical in knowing the exact number of people in a specific area, their health needs, and whether available facilities and supplies meet the demand.

Target population is people living within the borders of particularly Kenya- Uganda and Kenya-Tanzania border which are frequent on movement in and out of the country. The main aim for the government is to register all participant on the National Health Insurance Fund.

This scheme is essential for all Kenyans to access health services in any part of the country freely.

This is important for the Government for the big 4 agenda that the government is trying to achieve in sustaining the development goals towards the Universal Health Coverage in the Country.
